MND

Hob guide

A guide for a gentleman with MS to keep pans located on a ceramic hob and reduced the risk of them being knocked over.

Night time toileting

A solution to the problem of clients with reduced dexterity and movement needing to urinate at night.

Head Support

Use of a modified travel cushion to give good head support

Bed transfer rail

A bespoke bed transfer rail to help a gentleman with MS to transfer to his wheelchair unaided.

Book Manipulation Aid

The client suffers from motor neurone impairment virtually robbing her of the use of her hands and fingers. She likes to read actual books (as opposed to Kindle books) but cannot now hold or manipulate a book. This project provides a device which has given the client sufficient control of a book to be easily able to read it.

Non-spill cup carrier

A design for a cup or mug carrier for people who are unsteady on their feet, which greatly reduces accidental spills. We have made over a dozen of these for various clients who have suffered from Parkinsons, strokes and the like.

Arm supports

A client with MND requires supports to hold his arms up when sitting to alleviate back pain, especially when away from home visiting friends. Floor-standing adjustable supports provide the necessary support and are dismantleable for transport.

Rascal Rio power chair tray

A bespoke tray to fit to a Rascal Rio indoor wheelchair and assist the client with moving meals from her kitchen. The project also required a change to the programming of the chair speed controller to make it more suitable for the tight turns in the house – and this was undertaken by a dealer.

Special toilet seat

A bariatric client with motor neuron disease wishes to self-insert suppositories and enemas while seated over the toilet. A reinforced toilet seat with improved access was provided.

Head support

Our client suffered from MND and a support had been made to help lift her head, but she was finding it a little difficult to move her head sideways to look at her computerised vision driven voice box or her carer.

Drum Stool Removable Backrest

Professional drummer with MND needed a droppable backrest so that he could get onto his drum kit stool independently, so he can play at his leisure.
