Hob guide

A guide for a gentleman with MS to keep pans located on a ceramic hob and reduced the risk of them being knocked over.

Wheelchair to car transfer aid

The client who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis was having trouble moving between his wheelchair and the car at different levels. A standard banana board could have been unsafe as the driveway was quite steep.

Night time toileting

A solution to the problem of clients with reduced dexterity and movement needing to urinate at night.

Touch sensitive remote control

Our engineer, Neil, constructed a touch-sensitive remote control for our client, who is a lady that suffers from MS, Arthritis and respiratory problems, which made it previously difficult for her to operate the press buttons on her electric bed remote. She can now operate these herself, without needing to wake her husband at night for bed adjustments.

Bed transfer rail

A bespoke bed transfer rail to help a gentleman with MS to transfer to his wheelchair unaided.

Archery Stool

Client wanted a stool for archery had seen one made by Remap for the London Paralympics. We couldn’t find the original make for that stool so we made a copy.

Non-spill cup carrier

A design for a cup or mug carrier for people who are unsteady on their feet, which greatly reduces accidental spills. We have made over a dozen of these for various clients who have suffered from Parkinsons, strokes and the like.

Arm supports

A client with MND requires supports to hold his arms up when sitting to alleviate back pain, especially when away from home visiting friends. Floor-standing adjustable supports provide the necessary support and are dismantleable for transport.

Rascal Rio power chair tray

A bespoke tray to fit to a Rascal Rio indoor wheelchair and assist the client with moving meals from her kitchen. The project also required a change to the programming of the chair speed controller to make it more suitable for the tight turns in the house – and this was undertaken by a dealer.

Modified Over Bed Table

Client with MS, in a reclining chair, likes to paint, read and do jig saws. Current over bed (or chair) tables do not meet her needs.
Remap selected a suitable table to modify, that had the ability to incline and added a rotatable side table extension, held flat even if the main table top was inclined.
A separate larger table top, covered in anti-slip material, was made to easily slip over the main table top which could be easily removed without disturbing a partially finished jig saw.
